Hmmmm

The local coffeeshop needs someone to run their Thursday night spoken-word experiment (they've just started staying open late on Thursdays for it, and they have only one monthly Thursday thing lined up so far). I'm discussing it with the owner. I have a question, though (for the locals, mainly):

If I ran a spoken-word thing once a month, on a Thursday night, how interested would you be in coming out to Nomad (in North Oakland) and being in the audience? How interested would you be in performing? (Hey, nadinelet! Hey, final_girl! Hey, charliegrrrl! Hey, wordweaverlynn! and all you other writers out there!)

I haven't dipped my foot in the local poetry scene since I moved here. I *loved* running the San Diego Slam with my ex and her friend, but it's been a while, and I may be thinking of biting off more than I can chew. Thoughts?

Grrrr, that's church choir night and even if I didn't go to church choir, we only have one car and coyote3502 would need it to get to SF. If we ever don't have a rehearsal, I'd be there!

I see myself stopping by and if there's coffee I bet I could even drag stonebender along. And it's near BART so dbubley might go if she can get out of work early enough. We're having trouble with her internet connection so she's been off-line for a few days, but I know she enjoyed the time we went to the Temescel Cafe event.

It's not impossible that I'd come on occasion, don't know about performing. 3d Thursdays aren't as good as others.
