Today, I worke to work a lovely dark green silk shirt that belongs to akienm and was loaned to me by dawnd. I have gotten compliments on it, and also also get to feel like I'm being held in a very delicate, sensuous embrace.

Awwww. That's nice! If you want more silk shirts, I remember Kohl's having some when we were in there last week. Or you could try to talk Akien out of one or two, as he tends not to wear them all that often (he gets overheated, and has to wear undershirts under them to wick the sweat, so they only get used in the middle of winter as a rule). And yes, I did think that color was nice on you. :^)

I was diagnosed with a sinus infection. This is good because rather than just not feeling well for an unknown reason, I now have a prescription which will hopefully make me feel better, a note for my profs excusing me from losing marks for not making my classes today, and I even managed to dig out my medical coverage records so I did not have to pay.

Nothing especially good happened to me today. I got to spend a few minutes curled up with deyo before we had to get ready for work. I got to teach, and the kids are great. I had a cranberry scone with maple icing on it (the sweet triangle-shaped kind of scone, not the buttermilk biscuit kind) and a Stonyfield Farm cherry yogurt for breakfast. The dogs were happy to see me when I got home. It's been a fine day so far.

I ate a Harry & David peach (and received my order of five lbs of peaches & five lbs of pears). I went to Maggiano's for lunch (family-style Italian food). I pet a couple of cats. I hugged a beloved co-worker goodbye (it was her last day at work), and she said some really nice things to me. I saw pretty plants on my walk this morning. I was able to loan a very close friend money that she needed. I admired our newly hung stained glass windows. I had (am still having) a quiet evening at home.
