Fun fun fun

Well, Munchkin The Elder should arrive with my mom tomorrow nightish. Zie's staying two weeks, until my mom has off from work and can spend time at home with zir.

This will be fun for me, but also interesting in that not-sure-how-fun-it-will-be way because my partners don't especially love having an energetic teenager around. I plan to keep zir busy (and away from the house) during the day so my partners can have some quiet time, but evenings will be interesting. I called my mom just now and told her to please make sure the nibling brings plenty to read, and plenty of calm activities for the evenings. She said zie's bringing zir GameBoy, but is currently out of anime books. And me with overdue fines at the library. I'd better pay those so zie can check out books. Also, if anyone has any to lend, that would be cool. Zie can go through ten a day.

Anyway, I'm excited, but it's also a little stressful. Today, I want to finish up my contract work and get the house clean, so I should get off LJ and get to work. Have a lovely Friday, everyone!

What about school for MTE?

I'm glad zie has someplace that's a refuge. I hope things go as smoothly as possible with a teenager in the house :-)

School is on hold. Zie's on a waiting list for a school that will meet zir needs, but probably won't get in until January, so zie needs someplace to be for the next two weeks while zie's not in school.

I know this isn't exactly your usual stomping grounds, but if MTE would like to visit with other teenagers who are also into reading and games and anime and so on, my children are having a party December 10 from 2pm on. It's actually a late birthday party (with a theme of "Canada", of all things), but will basically be people hanging out -- probably mostly teens, but also some younger kids and parents. And I did ask and get an OK on passing on an invitation.
