Well, not frenzy, exactly. More like relaxed puttering, and I'm loving
it.

On the stove is a pot of brown rice simmering in fresh chicken stock,
on which to serve the tofu curry I'll make in a few minutes. In the
oven are a couple of eggplants for the baba ganouj I'm making for
tomorrow's open house. Also gonna make the garlic fondue (with a
sweet batard and some rustic rye to cube and dip, along with some fuji
and granny smith apples), a veggie tray, and some guacamole. [livejournal.com profile] loracs
is putting out chips, salsa, soup, cold cuts, drinks, and who
knows what all else -- she usually goes overboard, and who doesn't
love that?

What are y'all cooking/eating tonight?

Hope if you're near the East Bay tomorrow, you'll think of dropping by our
game night/open house in San Leandro, 4pm-?. Send me email if you need
details.

I was at a very good Californian restaurant tonight as part of the wedding festivities. Sesame-seared ahi, filet mignon, lobster tail, and a flourless chocolate cake that was more like chilled ganache.
