We will probably have a smallish Oscar party, as we did last year. (Nacho
fountain, anyone?) Nominations are
here
. [livejournal.com profile] stonebender and I will probably try to see all the
nominated films, as we tried to do last year (we did pretty well). Anyone
who wants to join in the quest, let me know -- I love the movies. Also,
we will likely have a prize for the person who guesses closest on the
winners. I love the Oscars almost as much as the movies themselves. Now
to go see who's gonna be hosting.

Jon Stewart is hosting. I love him.

I love his politics. His personality annoys me, as does his occasional foray into fourteen-year-old-boy gender-cluelessness.

Jon Stewart's going to be so incredibly leashed. ;)

How exactly would you put nachos in a fountain? Some kind of fondue thing, where the non-cheese nacho fixings are off to the side?

Ha, I am cleverer than I thought!

(Is *so* a word.)

I wonder how they decided that Ledger was the lead and Gyllenhaal was the supporting actor? I've always hated that category distinction.

We'll be out of the country for the Oscars. Not that we would have been likely to watch, even with Jon Stewart (who, as someone else said, will probably be on a pretty short leash anyway).
