Birthday Five
Feb. 17th, 2006 02:05 pm[Edit: which reminds me, I wanna have a party for my 40th. I guess that gives me about six months to prepare. :-)]
From the
altfriday5:
1. Which is the best birthday you've ever had? Why?
Probably 2002, when wombabes who were in town for the womboink surprised me with a birthday party, when I'd never had a surprise party before (and in fact have usually been the one to make sure I have a party).
2. Which is the worst birthday you've ever had? Why?
I don't have a good memory for things like this. I have no idea.
3. What do you expect to have happen on a typical birthday? (i.e., you expect to get presents, you expect people to wish you a happy birthday, you expect to have a party, etc.) How do you feel if these expectations are not met?
I expect my partners to wish me a happy birthday and to make a big deal out of it in some way. This doesn't necessarily mean presents -- dinner or birthday sex will suffice. :-) Also, I tend to announce my own birthday and throw my own party so that people don't have to guess what I want.
4. How did your family celebrate your birthday when you were a child?
Family dinner and a cake and presents. Also, in high school, I threw my own birthday parties in June, because my actual birthday is in the first week or two of school.
5. You have infinite amounts of all resources. Describe your ideal birthday.
Oh, easy. I fly all my friends/loves who want to come into town and put them up someplace swanky for a week or maybe a month. Then I gift myself with enough money to pay off all my bills and my mother's house.
