I don't have a ton of time to sit and type today -- the woman I have been relieving is coming in today to start back to work. Here, therefore, are a few bullet points:

• Happy birthday to my wonderful and brilliant and well-adored stonebender.
• Had lovely times this weekend with golden_c_turtle, tenacious_snail, inflectionpoint, tracytreefrog, loracs, and of course my partners. I think I used up all my social energy, though, because by the time I got home last night, I was tired and weeping at the slightest provocation. someotherguy and sogwife helped by holding me and making me laugh.
• My mom rocks.
• Don't forget, this Saturday is the book-organizing birthday party for stonebender and loracs. There will be food and cake and, if the universe is still in the same place as it has always been, silliness.

I had a wonderful time over there! I happened to mention to mactavish that her name came up while eating fabulous fresh toffee. her response was to say "Serene makes the best toffee!" I found it a little bit eerie, but also somehow reassuring that she could make such a good guess re my social calendar.
