[livejournal.com profile] stonebender posted this, and it's a good idea for me today:

What's happy in your life?

My partners love me and are good at showing it.

My house is getting clean, after a couple of months of neglect.

The weather is my brand of delightful. Rains some, clears for a while, rains some more...

Even though there have been a few annoyances (COBRA cashed my check, then put it back in my bank -- WTF??; banged my elbow good; troubles with my email server), I am in a good mood, and likely to stay that way.

I have enough money to buy myself lunch.

[livejournal.com profile] stonebender and I got some hanging-out time yesterday.

[livejournal.com profile] someotherguy and I are gonna get some hanging-out time tonight.

It's silly, but I got a new clicker for the automatic door at work, so I don't have to press so hard to open the door.

People at The Best Temp Job Ever are really sweet to me.

Just out of interest, does that count as anything other than COBRA taking your money and then making you an impromptu gift of the same amount? (I guess I'm asking: does it count as reversing the transaction for legal purposes over there?)

My best guess is that they're telling me I didn't follow some obscure rule about getting my payment in (it was definitely on time), and my suspicion is that this means they've cancelled my coverage, but I'm not going to worry about it until I see if there's mail about it today. *sigh*

Good luck. I got a letter from the Department of Work and Pensions here today, just what I needed...

Oh, no! What are they doing to you?

Forcing me to teach them what their own regulations are. The potential threat's to my income support, or to put it another way the money I need to live on. Not too major this time, but the number of times stuff like this has happened leaves me feeling abused every time something like this shows up - my disabilities make dealing with it all really not fun at all, it's a good thing I've got contacts to help out by now...

It'll blow over, it just totally wrecked my day starting to sort stuff out.

The bastards. Want me to kick their asses for you?

Sure, though there's probably a better use for a teleporter than sending and retrieving a high-velocity foot :-)

*smile*

The Usenet feed here is fubar'd, so I can't see who's answered the question I posed in a.p till tonight, so it's nifty to see it spreading over here.

Yay for happy!
