sereneGood things about today:
1) Being smart enough to call in sick, and feeling genuinely better when I finally got out of bed.
2) Fun lunch of cookies and juice with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
wild_irises, with whom talking is entertainment, and talking about politics is as entertaining as talking about the moon in the sky, or the mud in the grass.
3) Had a moderately embarrassing fuckup today (don't feel any desire to talk about the details, so best not to ask). My partner was very reassuring. I asked for help from a friend (I have a really hard time doing that), and not only did she come through, she made me feel like I wasn't a fuckup for asking. I do have really good friends.
4) Nearly decided to sit it out whensomeotherguy wanted to take a walk at 11:30 tonight, but I decided to go along, and I'm glad we went. We encountered a sweet little dog on the road who was lost. She let me pick her up, and we carried her the few blocks home, where her family was SO glad to see her.
5) More juice at the store, andsomeotherguy bought me hand sanitizer to get the dog off my hands before I drank my juice.
6) I got my new software today, but I haven't tried it out yet. (I've had older versions, but this apparently fixes some of the problem I had with them.)
7) Two sets of new neighbors, and both seem sweet.
