Two lovely evenings in a row.

Last night, [livejournal.com profile] golden_c_turtle called while I was preparing dinner. Now, if you've known me very long, you know that if you call around dinner time and you're within ten miles of me, I'm gonna invite you to dinner. Well, [livejournal.com profile] golden_c_turtle is the kind of spontani-chick who will take a person up on it, so she and [livejournal.com profile] serpentdove (I sure hope I'm getting that username right) came over for veggie sloppy joes and stuff, and we had a nice time seeing them.

Tonight, after my last day at The Best Temp Job Ever and a couple of hours of goofing off, I made [livejournal.com profile] eeyore_grrl's peanut butter cookies (or tried to, from memory, and may have gotten them wrong, but they came out fine). Then [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy and I went for a walk in the pouring rain and got soaked and happy. Then we came home and had simple comfort food (pinto beans, salad, freshly-baked cornbread).

Also part of the loveliness were nice talks with my mom and Munchkin The Elder, and some fun playing with my new software, and a really wonderfully relaxing chat with some of the most interesting-to-me people on the rec.food.cooking IRC channel.

Also on the rfc chat, I got new material for the Goddess Wall, and there's another post in there. I think I've lost my stash, and thinking about it makes me cry. I found [livejournal.com profile] sistercoyote's and [livejournal.com profile] redbird's contributions, because they were in hard copy, but I think I've lost the CD I burned that contained several of your contributions: [livejournal.com profile] firecat, [livejournal.com profile] kightp, etc. I'm still looking, and I will be heartbroken if they're gone, but I will console myself by groveling again for pictures. Now I shall go compose a post about the rfc/goddess-wall experience that has made my heart burst and my desire to create soar.
