Strange how often we say we're going straight to hell, being atheists and all. Sometimes one of us will, I don't know, jaywalk or something, and the other will say, "You're going to hell for that," and then we'll say, "Wouldn't it be funny if THAT was what we went to hell for?"

I always thought that it would be funny, if there was an afterlife, and I died and I found out that the afterlife wasn't the Judeo-Christian one (or in my case, the Umbandan). It turns out the afterlife is the great bonobo of the universe tree.

I guess odds are that if there is an afterlife, just about everyone will be surprised by its form, because just about everyone has a different idea on what its form will be. Unless, of course, the afterlife takes the form you imagine it will. That'd be interesting.
