Just a few notes before I go put away laundry:

1) Got a temp gig doing data entry for the next two weeks. Good money, full-time, downtown Oakland, starting tomorrow.

2) Scrambling to get some housework and other work done before I start there.

3) There was a bad miscommunication around the part-time job I was sure I was going to start at, and I declined the job. I'll write more about it later.

4) This Sunday, I'm going to a women's open mic in Alameda. If you're a woman and you want to go with me, please do. I'd love some company, and it was a really nice thing last time I went.

5) I'm getting old, which is fine with me, but things hurt that shouldn't, and that's not fine with me. "Health insurance ASAP" is my latest mantra.

6) [livejournal.com profile] sogwife had a rough day today, and the stress level around here is higher than I like. I wish I could help, and yet I'm happy that I have come to a place in my growing-up process in which I'm clear that it's not my job to fix everyone's problems, so that I have the energy left for empathy, and sympathy, and any help I can reasonably give.

When is the women's open mic?

I plan to be in the East Bay on Sunday to help a friend move.

I'll be at [livejournal.com profile] joedecker's photo workshop on Sunday. I wish there were two of me, so I could hear you at Open Mic.

I hear you about the getting old thing. I've got a gym membership, and I'm going to start using it again before I get past the Point of No Return. The way things are going, I'm going to have to work for at least 20 more years, and my job is somewhat physical.

Health insurance is very important.

#6 is very important.

Have I told you lately that I'm glad I know you?

Good for you! I'm getting there. Really.

I'm concerned that I might have had a piece of that miscommunication; I hope not. I'm sorry it didn't work out.
