Wonderful day today. Got up at 6 and went back to bed for half an hour. Then headed out with mom to go to the yard sales. More than a dozen of them!

Mom bought me LOTS of stuff, including some much-needed work clothes.

Then we went to dim sum with stonebender and loracs, which was funny, because we ran into tenacious_snail, inflectionpoint, klrmn, and cyanblue, to whom we had said "no, thanks" when they invited us to dim sum today (they invited us a few weeks ago), because we had *planned* on being at the Temescal Street Fair today, but dammit, it's hot, and mom wanted to go yard saling, so there you have it. Anyway, it was good to see them, albeit briefly.

Next stop, thrift store, where stonebender bought tons and tons of Star Trek action figures, and loracs bought a dead clown. Really. She'll probably post a picture. Way creepy. And again, mom went crazy buying me stuff. Poor, poor me.

Mom's napping while I chill out in our nice cool apartment, and in a couple of hours, I take her to the airport so she can go back to San Diego. It's been so good having her here. I'll miss her. Still, quiet sex is fine for a week, but it'll be nice to cut loose again. ;-)

Funny, I was thinking about how lucky serenejournal was to get to bump into you and then I realized that it wasn't really you and mentally shook my fist at the overly similar sequence of letters that belonged to someone else.

Missed you again this Thursday. Sadly, that was my last Thurs RR prac for six weeks... school starts next week. =( And school comes first.
