I'm being so good. Got up, had breakfast, put laundry away, separated out clothes for the trip, felt tired...

...went back to bed. Yay, me! It's hard to get myself to sleep in the daytime, but I want to be really rested for my trip, so I'm gonna try to go to bed every time I get tired so I'll get plenty of rest before we leave.

(I have trouble allowing myself to sleep on a plane, too, because I snore when I'm sitting up. Not sure how I'll deal with that on an eleven-hour flight -- probably read, write, read, write, get so tired I don't care, sleep. :-)

That is a good idea. I should rest lots before flying to Germany. I normally try and avoid naps because they mess up my sleep schedule, but that is going to happen anyway when traveling.

Who can hearing snoring over the sound of the engine and all? I wouldn't worry about it. Sleep when you can cuz I've heard the time differences can be pretty hard on you.

Maybe that's the excuse I can use for totally zoning out yesterday (uh, no that won't work - I haven't traveled anywhere.)
I woke up around midnight, stumbled into the office and said to [livejournal.com profile] stonebender "Did serene go home?" "Now if that ain't a silly question" was the look I got from him.

Aww. :-) I actually kind of like the way you listen to your body clock. I try to do that, as well. I know it doesn't always work out, because of obligations and stuff, but I try.

Have you ever tried those Breathe-Right strips, or whatever they're called? You probably snore because your mouth falls open while you're sitting up, and you're partially mouth breathing. That's kind of what happens with sleep apnea.
