This is the first time in a long time when I'm just alone. Just me, in my home, by myself. No one chattering at me, no music on, no sound on the computer. Just me and my thoughts, which are swirling in a million directions, most of them unpleasant, but at least I get twenty or thirty quiet minutes in which to think them.

Next monday I have 'a day alone'. I bargained for one a month as of this month. It's been over a year (really!!) that I was alone at home. Next monday wont't be completely alone though, I have a date with some one I haven't seen in a while.
