How about the germ theory, a demon-free theory of mental illness, and the ability to keep fresh food from spoiling? Science sometimes rules--and that's not even counting mad science!

And blood typing.

And after my recent experiences, I vote for MRIs, and ultrasounds for those who need to have 'em.

Mmm, science. When I have a baby, there's a good chance that I will survive the birth and my offspring will live past infancy. I personally look forward to an increased life span, thanks in part to prescription medicine that keeps me from wanting to hurl myself off a bridge. (This is in part due to my privilege as a white American with health insurance, of course. I despise the pharmaceutical industry not because of their product, but because their prices are so artificially high that many do not have access to lifesaving drugs.)
