And at that time, most of these people were already actively in politics. These are old guys. Doesn't matter -- my point is, I look at that video and think "Yup, they've got a point. We're assholes." and they look at something like that and say "Look at those bad guys there threatening us because they hate freedom!"
It's not that I'm not fond of standing in front of the US consulate waving signs (I'm not exactly a raving fan of current US foreign policy, the current administration or our new PM's current coziness with them), but do keep in mind where that video is coming from. North Korea, the police state? Hu-huh. Yep.
No, I know. And I'm no big fan of the former Iraqi government, either, nor the Taliban -- what I'm saying is that there's a particular hatred of the US that is not only based in fact, but it makes these lunatics sound like they've got good heads on their shoulders.
