sereneLong week, in which I adjusted to new meds only to have them increased again; worked really hard helping students put on a big Disability Awareness Week thing, and pushed through my brain fog to get some actual work done (both paid work and work on my detective novel).
So now I will sit still for a while and answer a survey, because answering surveys is what Serenes do best.
1. What curse word do you use the most?
Probably "fuck".
2. Do you own an iPod?
Nope, but I have a couple of mp3 players I got for five bucks each on woot, and they work just fine.

Most weekdays, 6am. About half the time, I get up before it goes off.

Sure. I was on my way in to work when I heard it on the radio. I got to work and called my then-wife and told her to turn on the tv. I worked for one of the largest government contractors in the world at the time, so the atmosphere at work that day was pretty bleak.

I'd rather be in the picture. I like having my picture taken, but I mostly don't like taking pictures.
8. What was the last movie you watched?
I watched part of "Auf Der Strecke" ("On the Line"), one of the 2009 Oscar-nominated short films, but I missed a vital scene, so I really didn't follow the rest of the movie well. I'd like to watch it again. Just before that, we saw "A Serious Man", which I hated.

Sure.

Not in a long time.
11. Do you ever take medication to help you fall asleep?
Never have. I can usually fall asleep within a half hour.

Besides computers, I don't have a CD player, and the drives are empty now, as well.

Chocolate milk is one of the reasons I hate being milk-intolerant.

Sure. Which is to say that it's neither something I select nor deselect for. If the person was intriguing enough to me intellectually and physically, I certainly wouldn't disqualify them for that.

Internally, I'm very picky. I don't correct my friends, though, or stew about it overly much if no one's paying me to be picky. Still, I absolutely notice it, and if the spelling and grammar in a piece of writing are bad enough, I find it hard to get through that piece of writing.

Yep, lots of times. I love roller coasters.

I tend to get along fine with most people.

1) fell and hit my chin on the stoop when I was 3
2) fell and hit my face on the handbrake while riding my bike when I was 10
3) bent down to pick up a peseta from the floor of a bumper car when I was 10 and was rammed from behind; split my scalp
4) stepped on a broken mirror
5) was stabbed in the abdomen; also sustained a defensive wound on my thumb
6) got corrective surgery on both legs (I have a congenital foot/leg deformity)
7) cut my thumb while separating frozen hamburgers with a sharp knife
8) fell and dropped a bowl of salad while on the way to a friend's party; cut my hand open on the shards of bowl
9) had suspicious moles removed; they were benign
10) had two surgeries to remove cancerous thyroid
Total number of stitches: something like 500. More than I can count, at any rate, even if you only count the external ones.
