I think it's a sign of my advancing age that I recover more slowly from
days when I'm taxed a lot physically. Road trips, election work... At any
rate, I'm tired and logy right now, and I expected to be completely up to
snuff by today. I've cancelled my evening engagement (my very sweet
friend has been kind enough to give me a raincheck), and I'm gonna just
take it easy tonight.

(Part of it may also be social energy stuff. sogwife's been
living with us, and we've been having two twice-monthly parties, and the
election stuff took a lot of social energy, etc. -- all fine stuff, but it
takes more social energy than I have stored up.)

It's almost always taken me at least a day to recover, depending on just how wiped out I got- not just physically either. When I didn't take the time to recover, I was usually sorry.
