Yesterday was my Giftmas Day with stonebender, and it was lovely. He liked the scarf I made him (perhaps loracs will be kind enough to post photos at some point), and the book, and he got me the one thing I've been wanting and unable to find locally: Amy Sedaris's new book. I squeed all over the place. It was truly unexpected. Also unexpected was finding out later that someotherguy *also* tracked the book down online, so now I have TWO! And the book is better than I even expected, so yay! I really wasn't expecting to get it, because someotherguy and I hunted for it and had no luck, so I was gonna wait until after the holidays. I'm a lucky person. Beautimous purse from loracs, yummy chickpea gravy, and hours of DVDs. Very good day.

Today, I'm trying to get myself motivated to clean the kitchen, make toffee, and go to sogwife's family Christmas thing. I really don't feel like it, but I might once I have a clean kitchen and a couple batches of candy on the counter. We'll see.

As you might have seen, my younger son who shares your birthday got a copy at a booksigning (http://pyrzqxgl.livejournal.com/104273.html). I've seen copies of the book prominently displayed there ever since, so I didn't know it was at all hard to find.
