Mmmmmmm, MIMP!!

Good things about my life, put behind a cut-tag as an anti-emetic for them what needs it:



1) A whole month of anniversaries, reminding me how good the last four years have been. (A couple weeks ago, stonebender; Tomorrow someotherguy; Thursday sogwife.)

2) Bread rising on the countertop.

3) Homemade coleslaw.

4) Raspberry-chipotle sauce. Never let me say again that I don't like smoky things.

5) Joy for joy's sake.

6) This response from a contract client (this particular job is all about being detail-oriented): "Thanks Serene, this is very thorough! Almost dauntingly so... I'm glad I'm not the one making the changes."

7) Taking a walk with someone sweet and talking and laughing and smooching until my cheeks hurt.

8) Realizing it's been a while since I've been in this good a mood, and deciding to share it with you and you and you and YOU. :-)

9) Geeking over the proper sauce to go with white bean croquettes. Do you know the likelihood that my former partner would even *touch* white bean croquettes?

10) Work I love, enough of it to pay my bills, and the best/funnest/sexiest cow-orker ever.

11) I'm writing again. I'm writing again! And though writers like sistercoyote and final_girl make me feel all inadequate and shit, the only way to get better is to do the thing, so I'm writing again, yay!

12) Friends who say things like "the ivory tower isn't meant for use as a dildo!" (flippac)

This (http://www.fatfree.com/recipes/cookies/bean-cookies) was the seriously fat-free version, substituting chopped dried apricots for a bag of chocolate chips. It's been years, but as I remember they were all right especially when warm, but afterward would seem kind of stale because they definitely didn't have that crispiness to the surfaces that you'd get from a high butter content.
