Oh, gosh, two more good things I can't believe I forgot to mention:

1) Opera
2) Eudora

(To fix my hatred for all things Microsoft, and the fact that my computer refuses to run Thunderbird and Firefox, insisting they're already running no matter what I do.)

Yay for Opera! Took me a while to get used to it, but it's growing on me. :)

Didn't get a chance to wish you Happy Black Valentine's (Feb 13) so here's a bit of late Dorothy Parker:

Observation

If I don't drive around the park,
I'm pretty sure to make my mark.
If I'm in bed each night by ten,
I may get back my looks again,
If I abstain from fun and such,
I'll probably amount to much,
But I shall stay the way I am,
Because I do not give a damn.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that you've rebooted, thereby ensuring that no Firefox process is running. If that was the case, my first guess is that there's a stale lockfile, and the mozilla knowledge base backs me up: they suggest removing the parent.lock file from C:\Users\ (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_in_use)

Okay, I've removed parent.lock, and now I'm on my way to restart the computer and see if it works. If it does, you're my new hero, even if I still can't get to my old mail (I think it got deleted in one of my many reinstall attempts, during which I was not smart enough to back it up before playing around with shit.)

Lovin' you a lot right now. I have Thunderbird back! I don't think I'll ever see my old mail again, but at least I can run my favorite email program. Eudora was okay, but I only liked it because it was the best I could do without getting Thunderbird. I think, however, that I may keep Opera; I like it, and I like having new toys in general.
