I caffeinated so I could get some work done. Now I'm wide awake and done with tonight's work, so here is more survey nonsense, which there is no penalty for skipping. ;-)

101. What does happiness/joy feel like physically? I'm not exactly sure. I can more quickly identify excitement or fear. Hmm.

102. List five people you love starting with the one you love the absolute most.

A Myself

B [livejournal.com profile] stonebender

C [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy

D [livejournal.com profile] sogwife

E [livejournal.com profile] wtfpotatoes

103. How many movies have you gone to see this month? None, but I watched a few on DVD with my dad on our vacation.

104. If you could have 3 wishes...but none of them could be for yourself, what would you wish for? World peace, an end to suffering, and that only people who were truly ready and were going to be really good parents could have children.

105. In what ways do you relax and de-stress when you are really tense? I rant to my partner; I go for a walk; I lie in bed and read; I wait it out.

106. How much money would it take to get you to drive to school naked in the springtime and get out of the car? Probably at least a few thousand -- more if I'm gonna have to pay bail and lawyers' fees.

107. Have you ever killed an animal? Sure. We all have.

108. Have you ever lost someone close to you? Yes.

109. What do you think of cloning? I think it's fascinating.

110. Do you read or watch TV more often? Read.

111. With all this talk of terrorism going around are you willing to sacrifice rights and freedoms for increased safety? No, of course not, because it really doesn't work that way. Instead, they take away our rights for increased *perception* of safety.

112. What is the punishment you would come up with for Osama Bin Laden if you caught him alive? This question makes me sad and I don't want to participate.

113. Have you ever named an individual part of your body? No, but my ex named my tits Betty and Wilma.

114. Have you ever been on the radio or on TV? Yes, a few times.

115. Have you ever won a lottery, or sweepstakes? A few dollars here and there.

116. Have you ever won a contest or competition? Yes. Let's see... Art show in kindergarten; hitting trophy in softball in grade school; small scholarship for my poetry in college; 2nd place in about a dozen poetry slams in San Diego -- we used to tease that it was my hobby to come in 2nd in slams.

117. Do you like to watch The Joy of Painting show with Bob Ross (check out this link if you don't know who he is. Also please note me if you notice the link is broken) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Ross_(painter)? I've never seen the show.

118. Do you know what your grandparents and your great grand parents did for a living? My maternal grandfather was a bigshot at Bell Labs. My maternal grandmother (Nana) was a stay-at-home mom of six kids (in six years). My paternal grandmother was a teacher.

119. Is there anything really interesting in your family history? Yes. My Nana was the 17th of 19 children. She could speak 7 languages fluently. Her family came over in steerage when she was very young, and most of them died. My grandfather was really named Moishe Ginsberg, but changed his name when he escaped from Poland and the Nazis, and then lied his way into his job at Bell Labs. Umm, what else? My mom is Frankie Avalon's cousin, and his father made her 21st birthday cake.

120. Is there anyone you trust completely? Yes.

121. Have you ever lost someone without having the chance to say goodbye? Yes. My youth pastor in high school killed herself without warning.

122. How do you feel about women in politics? Um, huh? "Yes, please?"

123. Would you rather have an indoor Jacuzzi or an outdoor pool? Oh, either would be wonderful. I love water!

124. What things are you interested in that you study or read about on your own? The history of math and science; philosophy, especially atheism and skepticism; cooking; homemaking.

125. Would you consider yourself to be intelligent? Yes.

126. Would you consider yourself to be wise? Sometimes.

127. Have you ever given or received a lap dance? Heh. Yes.

128. Have you ever spoken to a homeless person? Of course!

129. Would you ever creep into the subway tunnels to go exploring? Nah.

130. If you could add 70 years to your life but only by making some random person die 70 years sooner would you? No.

131. Can you finish any of the following lyrics?

A: Nothing to kill or die for... and no religion, too

B: Late comings with the late comin' stretcher...

C: I could make a film and make you my star...

132. Were you ever with someone while they died? Yes. [livejournal.com profile] sogwife's mother, but by then, I'm not sure she knew we were there.

133. Would you rather be a world political leader or a rock star? Rock star.

134. Have you ever given someone a love letter that you wrote? Yes.

135. Have you ever sent someone a surprise though the mail? Sure!

136. Are you looking forward to any concerts right now? I hear Lyle Lovett and His Large Band are coming to town!

137. Of all animated movies, which is the best one you've ever seen? Hmmmm. Best? Hmm. Dunno.

138. What are the best bands or songs to listen to while driving? "Fast Car", "Get Out The Map"

139. What do you think is the most amazing thing that anyone has ever accomplished? I have trouble with "the most" questions, but I think that Harriet Tubman's story is one of the most amazing ones I've ever known of.

140. What could a member of the opposite sex do to impress you? The same things a member of the same sex could do.

141. About how many emails do you get a day? Hundreds. Dozens are actually for me. Most are spam.

How many of those emails are junk mail? Hundreds.

How many of them are forwards? A handful.

142. What is your favorite thing to do online besides filling out surveys? Read Usenet.

143. Do you believe Kurt Cobain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_Cobain) killed himself or was it a conspiracy? I really don't give a shit.

144. Have you ever thought about hitchhiking across the country? Sure.

145. Who would you bring with you on this kind of a road trip? [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy -- we're good travel companions

146. Of the following, which word best describes you: accurate, bold,

charming, dependable

Hmm. I think I am bold and charming and moderately dependable. I don't know what it would mean to be accurate.

147. If you are single, at about what age do you think you will be ready to settle down and get married? If you are married, how old were you at the time? I was 34 when I married cute-poet-chick. I was 36 when I met and "married" my current partners.

148. Do you often wonder, when you say goodbye to people, if it is the last time you will ever see them? Sometimes, when [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy goes for a walk at night without me. I don't know why I worry more about him if I'm not with him -- it's not like I'm likely to come between him and a tragic death, but I still tell him "Don't get killed!"

149. What movie are you most looking forward to seeing when it comes out? It came out already -- I want to see For Your Consideration. I have it on Netflix

150. What is your quest? "You killed my father; prepare to die." No, wait, that can't be right.

Neep

If you got your second wish, that would automatically require the third wish to be true.
