[livejournal.com profile] mactavish doesn't do many surveys, but when she does, I know I'll like the questions more than I like the average ones.

1. Do you still talk to the person you lost your virginity to?
Nope, but I would be happy to talk with him if I ran into him, as unlikely as that is. And I didn't lose my virginity. I hurled it at him.

2. Is it harder to be rejected or to reject someone else?
For me, it's much harder to reject someone else.

3. What kind of music did you listen to in elementary school?
My parents played a lot of Joan Baez; Kris Kristofferson; and Peter, Paul, & Mary. My dad played lots of Elton John when my mom wasn't around. My sister played Tony Defranco, the Osmonds, and lots of other '70s pop music. I don't remember seeking out music independently, but I was always in choir and music classes, so whatever we were singing/playing was likely to be on my mind.

4. What is the best thing about your current job?
I get to spend my workdays with [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy.

5. Do you wish cell phone etiquette were a required class?
Nope. People don't always do what they learn in class.

6. What's the last thing you drank?
This really yummy blood-orange flavored sparkling apple juice that [livejournal.com profile] golden_c_turtle gave us on her way out of town.

7. Have you been on a date in the park?
Sure.

8. Where are you going on your next vacation?
Probably San Diego to see family, but besides that, I'm planning on Vegas in February for alt.polycon.

9. Have you ever thrown up from working out?
No. I can't even imagine it.

10. Are most of the friends in your life new or old?
It's a mix. I'm still in regular contact with two of my oldest friends -- I met C when I was 11, and A when I was 14. Most of my friends, though, are probably people I met after I got online in 1998, but I'm not sure if 9 years counts as old or new friends.

11. Have you ever gotten so wasted you didn’t know what was going on?
No, I've never gotten wasted.

12. Do you like pulp orange juice?
Yes, but I like the pulp-free stuff, too.

13. Are you touchy-feely?
With family I am. With friends, I do hello/goodbye hugs and that's about it.

14. Did you cry at your high school graduation?
No. I felt nothing.

15. Do you prefer the tanning bed or the sun?
I like being out in the sun, but I don't intentionally tan.

16. What are two of your favorite places to eat?
Home, followed by any place that's not home.

17. What could you tolerate...someone who snores or a sleep walker?
I assume this means "as a partner" or "to sleep with." I can tolerate either. Snoring is safer.

18. Do you consider yourself bi-polar?
No, nor have I been diagnosed as such.

19. What's something your friends make fun of you for?
My friends mock me gently for being a slut and for being unsubtle/brash, but don't often make fun of me, period.

20. What's your worst personality flaw?
Laziness.

21. Have you ever gone to therapy?
Yes.

22. Would you ever parachute off of a plane?
Probably not unless it were to save my life.

23. Have you ever ridden an elephant?
Nope, but it sounds fun.

24. Are you Irish in any way?
I think so. My dad says his heritage is English/Irish/German/Dutch.

25. Have you ever ridden in a U-Haul?
Yeah.

26. Do you like to play Scrabble?
Yes, but I never win.

27. Have you ever been to a nude beach?
Yes. I tend to get naked easily. Ocean beaches around here tend to be places where one would wear sweaters, though, so it's not my usual naked place.

28. Have you ever drunk Jack Daniels?
No. Bleah.

29. Have you ever had sex on the beach?
Not the drink, but yes on the act.

30. What are you saving your money up for right now?
At the moment, I'm making barely enough to cover the bills. Saving is on hold.

31. What was the last gift card you received?
I honestly don't remember.

32. Have you ever gone skinny dipping?
Sure!

33. Does the number of people a person's slept with affect your opinion of them?
No, though sometimes I boggle at folks' choices.

34. Have you ever gone to a party where you were the only sober person?
I have no idea. At most parties I attend, many people are sober, or everyone is.

35. What do you do when you spot a bug in your house?
Usually, I leave it alone. We don't get many bugs here; I suspect the spiders keep them in check.

Verdict: Pretty standard, but I'm such a survey slut that it worked for me.
