I tell ya, I've often said that Dan Savage would be a lot more fun to read if he'd throw away the fat-bashing and the whole bisexuality-doesn't-exist schtick.

Guess I might need to consider crossing at least one of those off my list. (First letter and response. -- I'm not commenting on the others at this time.)

Oh, I think Dan Savage is an equal-opportunity basher. Probably we could get him off the no-bisexuals bullshit if we wrote a letter to which the nastiest response would be for him to insist we existed.

I agree! I think that first letter must have struck a nerve in Savage. Hmm... marries a person whom others would find respectable, while secretly lusting after forbidden sex objects? Sounds awfully familiar. Pretty much something any gay man could identify with. (I've always thought that the stories male FAs tell about their adolescence sounded extremely similar to those of gay men talking about their teen years.)

Still, the language in the response is a whole lot better than what you usually hear from this guy.
