One of my neighbors offered me a kombucha baby, and before I knew what I was saying, I said, "Sure!" It took me all night to make the stuff (including several hours to cool a gallon of boiling liquid down to room temperature) and now it has to sit undisturbed for five days. Since I've never tasted the stuff, I think it's kind of silly for me to be making it, but it just sounded like fun.

And now I have to leave for work in about five hours, so I'd better get to bed. Yeesh.

My mom and I were making kombucha for a while. I liked the 'tea' - it reminds me of a mild black tea that's also vinegary and fizzy, and I like tart things. In the long run, though, it wasn't worth the trouble to keep it going.

IMHO, it is *totally* worth it. It tastes like champagne and makes me feel like a million bucks. I buy it for $$$$ at the store right now, but one day would like to make it myself.

I've been swilling kombucha lately. It's fizzy and vinegary. Delightful, and makes me feel so *healthy*
