Date: 2007-10-11 05:35 am (UTC)But the biggest thing is that it took twice as long as she said, and it has me wondering if she used converted rice or something, because the chicken was good and done and the rest took so long.
My mom hasn't made the dish in probably twenty-five years and we can't find the original recipe, so I'm pretty happy that I came as close as I did.
I was afraid it would be too salty with all that soup in it, but I didn't add any salt, and it turned out great.
