How's *your* day going?

The whole stick?

That would probably be funnier, huh? Wish I'd thought of it.

Or you could think of it as "it could be worse, I could've stuck the whole stick in my ear".

I'm always a glass half-full kind of guy.

Pretty good. I haven't put butter in my ear yet.

*nuzzles your ear*

Going well. Two loads of laundry in process, clean bathroom, and New Flannel Sheets on my bed.

I made my own version of panfried cheese crispy goodness this morning, and thought of you

i'm sure serene has extra butter and knows the location of your ear. this is a *totally* fixable problem.

hmmm....went to bed to late, woke up too early. made coffee, ate re-heated pizza and watched a stupidfunny movie. took a shower. mixed up pumpkin custard and put it in the oven. gave a massage. turned the oven off in the middle of it. hung out with friends. noodled on flickr.

no butter in my ears yet. biggest football game of the year (and the last, thank your higher power of choice) starts in half an hour. the last of the days that i really hate living in a university town...until next fall. there's an art show at a friend's house and i'm going to get up now and go pull out some stuff to take over there, but i'm not actually going (it's even closer to campus than my place) until the game gets underway!

oh, and a full moon circle tonight, led by my oldest friend and her 4-year-old daughter.

Got Q-tips?

My day has been and will continue to be all about xmas decorating and getting boxes out of the front room. Nothing so exciting as buttering my ears.

Coffee. Cereal. Dogs. Now cleaning the living room. :)

What was that?

Sorry, I can't hear you I have butter in my ear.

...ya...the original joke's punchline "Sorry I can't hear you I have banana in my ear" wasn't much funnier.

my heat is broken and I'm sick of being cold at home. esp. since I like being a mouse potato, eating and watching TV simultaneously.

do you think the butter works better in the left ear or the right one for fixing the heater?

I'm singing and nesting and meditating in my new crib. I found a stash of treasured home made Jambalaya in my freezer when I moved yesterday, so now my tongue is all tingly and my tummy is full and I haven't had to get dressed to go out to get food. I'm sitting at my computer, the sun is shining on my shoulder, and now, thanks to you, I'm fantasizing about oils in orifices.

In short: My day's going very good.

I bought plain white flour, and self-raising white flour, and strong white flour, and baking powder, and 30 eggs, and a kilo of margarine, and peanut butter, and ALL SORTS of other things we needed.

And the sun makes my hot water hot even when I can't see sunshine. The secret word is parabolic.

Nibbling on leftovers, reading the paper, grooming the baby, fooling around on teh Intarwebz, and trying to get my fool ass in gear to get to the YMCA for a workout before too much longer.

But the application of dairy products into various orifices sounds much more fun!

Slow.

We got back from my parents' house last night. The trip wore us all out. Poor S. has had a terrible time sleeping the past couple of days--we are all sleep-deprived at this point as a result. I just took a long, very hot shower all by myself! It is nice not to have to share my bathing time with the babe once in a while, though I sorely miss showering with [livejournal.com profile] ptor. Anyhow, I am partially dressed, S. and [livejournal.com profile] ptor are napping in the living room and I am thinking vaguely about plans for the rest of the day. No rehearsal or teaching today and I am very much enjoying the break. We might take S. to Christmas in the Park (http://www.christmasinthepark.com/displays/index.html) later today--we think he would really enjoy it. We have some shopping to do--I need winter clothes really badly and would like to pick some up this weekend crowds be damned, so we might make an excursion or two. Right now I am thinking about lunch. Oh, and we saved some turkey for Harlie so whenever [livejournal.com profile] ptor gets up we can give her a treat (I won't touch the bird carcass)--she is feeling incredibly neglected because we left her alone for two whole days. The horror! She is a very dramatic cat.

Also, lots of laundry and other cleaning today, just like any other day with a wee one.

Yeah, so, that's my day.

I just put a bunch of it (well, that along with the rest of the cookie-batter ingredients) in my mouth, myself.

My day has consisted of knitting a bra top (going well so far), persuading a poorly doggy to take his pills, and discovering the orgasm-inducing qualities of apple pancakes drowning in home-made butterscotch sauce. Oh, and making a birthday card for Swee'pea, whose first birthday is tomorrow (how time flies!!). So, good weekend, really.

My day is going just fine. I am, however, concerned that you have 20 separate commenters to this post, and not one has asked the question I am about to ask:

Why?

Had some pancakes, cleaned the rat cage, cleaned the kitchen, had some samosas, lazed about reading for a while. Quiet, but not bad.

I am curious whether the butter was deliberate. I can't think of any reason to put butter in my ear, but I can't quite visualize how it would happen accidentally either.

A little butter in the eat always makes the aural sex a bit smoother.

It's two days later, but I closed the bus doors _on_ a customer while she was disembarking.
My trainee "oops."

Other than that little mishap, it was a good trainee driving day.
