Serene of the Oakland Serenes

Today, went to hang out with stonebender and make sure he didn't utterly succumb to pneumonia and lack of sleep. While he dozed and/or stared into space, poor dear, I tried unsuccessfully to get motivated enough to work.

My Suitor (aka dreadgeekgrrl) kept me company in IM and then on the phone, and it would have been a perfect way to spend the day if stonebender hadn't been so sick. I sure hope all those antibiotics are finally doing their job!

(Just IMed with stonebender. *sigh* He still can't sleep. He's gotten maybe four or five hours of sleep in three days. Yuck.)

I decided to give someotherguy a clean (okay, cleanish, I'm no miracle worker) house for his birthday. Glad I still have tomorrow to finish the job, but I've gotten pretty far. I think if my Suitor weren't an early-to-bed worker bee, I'd've gotten lots less done. :-) Have I mentioned how really nifty she is? Well, she is. :-)

I am sleep-deprived (no problem; can sleep in tomorrow) and twitterpated (definitely no problem). My brain whirs with thoughts of Japan and Korea and Sao Paolo and Al Qaeda and the all-nighter in the US Senate, but mostly it keeps coming back to the same subject over and over. No complaints here.

Monday night is Craft Night. I'm telling you earlier than usual, because there may (if the planets align just right or something) be an elissaann sighting, and if you're smart, you won't want to miss that.
