Wanna see my first real-live business website? (Keep in mind that I did
this for my dad for no pay, and it was my practice CSS/PHP site, and I'm
not a visual person, and are these enough disclaimers?)

I like it! The colours are nice and the information is well laid out. The only tweak I'd make is trying to fit the first page on one page (so that you don't have to scroll to see the bottom of the page). Good job.

Heh. I get the whole first page without scrolling. Firefox on a Samsung Widescreen monitor. Would widescreen have something to do with it?

More likely your monitor is just running at a higher resolution.

Oh, yes. That makes sense. Thanks!

I've got Firefox on a new MacBook, which is also widescreen.

Yeah, I just looked at it on Tim's widescreen MacBook. I've got to scroll down the page. I think [livejournal.com profile] epilj got the right of it.

I love it. Except I'd make the title text a darker blue. I think that's got something to do with not being able to see as well these days.

Very nice!

That's my only complaint as well. Light blue on Yellow is hard for me to read. But I tend to prefer high-contrast colour choices.

I was thinking the *exact* same thing! (So it must be right.) Like maybe the darkest part of the sky shade?

I like how clean and simple it is; it's easy on the eyes.

I don't know what's different about me here, since this appears to be working for other people, but all I get is a totally blank page.

Me, too. I'm using IE7 (the only browser option at work). It loads the favicon in the navigation bar but nothing in the main window. Is this a browser issue? The only browser I see people mentioning in the comments so far is Firefox.

Alas, yes, it appears to be borked in IE 6.0, too. Looks fine on my copy of SeaMonkey, but I fired up IE and get a blank page.

I can't see anything in the source code that would break in IE, so I'm guessing the problem is in the CSS.

Serene, you might take a look at http://www.quirksmode.org/ and particularly their browser compatibility table to see if you've got anything in there that won't work in IE.

It works on Safari on my Mac. It's nice! My only constructive-criticism-type comments are that I feel that the cloud graphic on the left side is too close to the background colour to create a really solid "grid" feeling to me, so I would probably just darken it up a bit, and that I find the sunshine bullets on the bulleted list on the right side distracting when they go behind the text, especially since they're different sections of the sun from one to the other. Maybe a teeny tiny little cartooney sun as the bullet instead?

After all your disclaimers, it's a very nice job!
