Finals week at The Best Job Ever, which used to be a slow time for me, but I've got a new responsibility at work that really kicks into gear this week, and two other projects that happened to converge this week, so I'm hopping.

Right now, I'm eating blackberries and yogurt and feeling happy about the cooler weather; when the skies get gray, I get chipper. Go figure.

My happiness may also be caffeination, to tell the truth.

How's your day going?

It's going pretty well. I've finally done some major cleaning/organizing in my kitchen, and will even wash the filthy floor when I get up from this computer. I've let it go for quite a while, because I get tired of cleaning up after Summerdog.

BBQ with friends later, and I'm really looking forward to my contract gig next week.

Do you work in Sproul, or do I have that wrong? I remember (quite a long time ago) frequently sitting on the steps of Sproul at lunch. One time when it had clouded over, but wasn't raining, someone across the plaza dropped a penny, and the copper color flashed in that interesting light.
Is there still food down in the lower plaza? I used to get an avocado and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread, and some sort of orange-spice black tea by Bigelow there several days out of each week. (Oh - nice! Just noticed the avocados I bought are ripe:)
Might have been 1982 or something. A whole lifetime.

I'm glad your job is still so excellent. Mine has its ups and downs, but it's after finals now, with some of the seniors still doing their orals (two of my friends did theirs today and we stood outside waiting to cheer as they came out and feed them champagne). Graduation on Sunday, and then Summer!!

Today I did an enormous amount of fairly difficult work. While taking short breaks from this, made a veggie sausage stew for dinner. Then I made cha siu bao for Friday's blog post. Now I am finishing off a pint of cider, and shortly I will go to bed. I am exhausted but satisfied!

It's a very good day because we are finally getting rid of the old blue car - the tow truck should be here within the next hour. They take it away and we get a $500 tax write-off. WIN!!!
