I may be one of those people Google doesn't want [at Google+], because I think their name policy isn't going to change, and I think it's HORRIBLE. This is very disappointing to me, and I hate Facebook, as well, so maybe a good plan for me is to bail on them both before school starts and just get back to mainly posting on Dreamwidth, which I still like, and whose overlords are of the non-evil variety.

Leaving Facebook and G+ this weekend. My email address is serene@serenepages.org. My personal blog is at http://serene.dreamwidth.org/. Tired of presenting myself as an asset to companies that don't give a shit about privacy or the safety of their customers.

Oh, and I have Dreamwidth invitations if anyone wants 'em. Well, if four of you want 'em. 'Cause that's how many I have.

Your post on G+ to this effect nudged me to check my DW circles, where I noticed that I'd somehow forgotten to put you on my access list. Fixed, and... is "welcome back to DW" appropriate under the circumstances, since as far as I know, you never left? Hi again, anyway. :-)

Currently hoping that using gmail to import my email while I'm away hasn't opened up any information to FB that I wasn't planning to share with it. I am deeply suspicious of FB in any case and only joined it reluctantly as so many people I like to keep up with are there and not here or on Lj any more. I'll be happy to follow your writings here in future!
