Today will be busy. Getting ready to fly to San Diego tomorrow with [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy to see the munchkins and my mom. Wanted to note a few things about Thanksgiving and the weekend, though.

[livejournal.com profile] berkeleyfarm and Elissa came over Friday night for our at-home evening. [livejournal.com profile] berkeleyfarm brought the best truffles I have ever had, bar none. There are three left, and I'm going to stretch them for as long as I can. Oh, my.

Thanksgiving dinner )

Craft night is Friday. [livejournal.com profile] sogwife has some extra crafty stuff, and y'all are encouraged to bring stuff to share if you have it.

And then game night is the 10th. We bought Apples to Apples, which is tons of fun, but if anyone wants to (and there are enough people), I'd *really* love to open up Cranium and learn to play. This weekend, we played Clue (it's been forever since I played that), and [livejournal.com profile] sogwife and I played cribbage. Fun. I love playing games, and don't find people to do it with me often enough.

I'm in task-avoidance mode. When I'm in task-avoidance mode, as many wombats will tell you, I like to write surveys. Here you go. Standard rules apply -- that is, only answer the ones you want to, and if the question is worded so that there's no answer you like, feel free to re-write the question:

1. Tell about a really important piece of advice you received in the past.

2. Given all the money, happiness, and time you need, what would your typical day look like?

3. Tell about a book that you keep returning to. What is so special about it?

4. If you could have a conversation with one person tomorrow, and convince that one person of one thing, who/what would it be?

5. Is there a spot on your body that's not normally considered an erogenous zone, but it drives you crazy? What is it?

6. _______________ was the best $5.00 I ever spent. (Or, if you're not in the US, use an amount that's equivalent-ish -- there's a currency converter at http://www.xe.com/ucc/ )

7. Imagine you have to go to work every day, in an office, with people you like. What work are you likely to be doing? (I'm looking to avoid answers like "Staying home with my family," or "Finishing my novel while I websurf," etc.)

8. Name a fictional character whose life seems like one you'd love. What is it about that life that attracts you?

9. Name three things that help pull you out of a funk.

10. Name four people who have seen you at your worst and still stuck by you. (If you don't feel like naming names, don't. Use pseudonyms or, hell, skip it if you want. :-)

sandravannoy: no. motivation. at. all. bleah.
guywt: What needs to be done?
sandravannoy: gotta finish the dishes. gotta clean out the fridge. gotta pack. want to also unpack the printer and set it up. gotta make the bed. I'm slowwwwwwly getting stuff done, but it's like walking through waist-high water. slogging, more like.
guywt: Uh....Dishes can wait, food will degrade, go naked, why set up a printer they just break eventually, you'll be unmaking the bed soon, entropy's a bastard! Not helpful?
sandravannoy: :-) *laughing* perfect.
guywt: Love you
sandravannoy: love you!

me: I feel sad for you
[livejournal.com profile] someotherguy: Why?
me: Well, you have this superpower where you can find stuff I've lost, and I don't have the same superpower, so I can't find your headset. You need a different girlfriend.
him: No, I need *another* girlfriend.
me: Fair enough! Get to work on that, willya?
