Writing contest

Write a very short story (less than one page), ending with the line:

I'll figure out the prizes later, but I'm leaning toward toffee, since
that's what I do, is lean toward toffee.

many, many apologies

Today has been a bit of a bear, and not in that sexy way that we like. I
am afraid I'm going to bail on game night (I'm so sorry, golden_c_turtle, I really am). (And y'all should feel free to go
anyway -- email golden_c_turtle for info and directions if you

my mom just called

MTE just called my mom from the library. She's going to pick zir up and take zir home. I swear, zie's not happy at home, but at least zie's safer than on the streets of zir town. I am very relieved.

someotherguy is a saint

Oh, wait, atheists aren't saints. Anyway, he's very sweet for agreeing to watch a movie with me. Then when I fell asleep and wanted him to keep watching it even though I was dozing on and off throughout the film, because it felt comforting to have his head resting on my legs, he watched the rest of the movie while lying on an unconscious person.

The movie? Shark Tale.

See? A saint.
