There was a beautiful breeze and a sunbeam at the coffee shop, so I wrote for a while. I'm not anywhere near done, but it's a start.

$500 copay (one-time) for my surgery.

Happily, I can pay it if I get paid in the next few days, and I should it'll hit my bank tomorrow, per the boss. Also happily, I have plenty of food in the house to tide us over for the next lean month or three.

No alt.polycon for me, and I'm okay with that.

Really good mail day!

Today, I got lovely surprises in the mail.

1) Holiday cards with joedecker's photographic art on them. Squeeeee! (Took longer than expected because my upstairs neighbors only check their mail once a week, and they had it.)

2) Kaffir lime leaves, kaffir lime seeds, and Thai chili seeds from a net.pal who grows these things on his large property in Thailand, where he lives half the year. Yay! (For the non-foodies out there, kaffir lime leaves are expensive and basically essential for many of my favorite Thai dishes, but my net.pal thinks they'll grow in the shade of my apple tree on my garden plot.

If I don't get my ass in gear, I'm gonna be ironing muslin into next week. :-) (I may not make my daily quota, but I was ahead all week, so I'm sure I'll make the total for today.)
