I made 34 burritos. Shared one with
someotherguy, and we're heading out in a few minutes to give them away, along with the juiceboxes.
Lessons I learned today:
- Make more beans than you think you'll need (I stopped at 34 because I was out of beans)
- Make *way* less rice than you think you'll need (I think I ended up using about half the rice)
- Even a boring beans-and-rice burrito is improved by not skimping on the cheese
- Just because a pot has handles, that doesn't mean the handles are cool enough to actually touch (minor burns; a few blisters; I'll live)
[EDIT: Oh, and if you're gonna show up to help us hand out burritos, call or text my work cellphone (you can send a text from my LJ profile if you don't have the number); we'll likely be walking north on Shattuck, starting at Bushrod Park.]
