Inaugural celebration concert

The President-elect will be kicking off the inaugural celebration this afternoon on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial with a free, blow-out concert featuring Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Bono, Garth Brooks, Sheryl Crow, Renee Fleming, Josh Groban, Herbie Hancock, Heather Headley, John Legend, Jennifer Nettles, John Mellencamp, Usher Raymond IV, Shakira, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, will.i.am, and Stevie Wonder.

You can hear the President-elect speak and watch these A-listers perform live on HBO (it’s free for non-subscribers) at 2:30 p.m. ET or on HBO.com. HBO will be presenting an encore performance from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. We’ll also be live-blogging the event on this site and posting photos of the big event.

A "share random facts about yourself" meme is going around Facebook and firecat dragged it to LJ. I like it better than the Q&A memes -- I found out some really cool things about firecat that I didn't know before, and I've known her for a decade or more.
