I was pretty sure I wouldn't have read many of them.

Asterisks if I've read it (multiple asterisks for multiple times). Pound sign if I've started but not finished it, or read part of the series.

There are a lot I haven't read either and many that I've only read recently (like Ringworld last month). I've read more of the fantasy than the sf.

For me, the ones I've read fall into three basic categories: Things I read in high school, things I read to the kids (Narnia, The Hobbit), and things I've read recently because of recommendations or movie hooks (LOTR, Stranger in a Strange Land).

Yah. For me it was stuff I read in high school/college and stuff that I've read recently (also recommendations and movies).

Don't worry, my Princess. You know, if you hang out with me, you will inevitably read a few more of those books. In my humble opinion there's a few on that list that aren't worth reading anyway.
