Dec. 6th, 2004 07:08 amWent to San Diego last week to see my mom and the Munchkins. Lassoed
sogwife into hosting craft night while I was gone. Got to see
firecat and her sweetie (is she on LJ? I can't remember), which was really wonderful, when I got home. Also wonderful were the amazing surprises awaiting me in the house.
sogwife had: taken our freecycle table, sanded it down, and painted it in our color scheme; made us new living-room curtains, a pillowcase, and a lampshade drape, also in our color scheme; and made me a *Spider-man shower curtain*! (Long time ago, I posted a "guess which theme our bathroom has" post and never let the cat out of the bag -- it's superheroes. We have Powerpuff Girls towels, and Hulk soap, and a Superman mirror, and so on.)
There's a total of 468K of images behind the cuts:
Here's the curtain -- it's hanging in the living room so that I have enough room to take the photo:

She designed and made this -- the Spidey stuff is sewn on, not bought that way. Here's a close-up of one of the appliques:

Here are two views of the way-cool table. When we got it, it was bright purple, and pitted/gouged all over:

The curtains:

A closer look at the pattern on the sheer part (the black part is gauze, too, so these curtains let in more light than the ones that came with the place):

Isn't she amazing and generous?
