Going to my brother's house in about an hour, to have what will probably be a peaceful dinner -- his eight and my baby brother's three kids are less rambunctious than just my two munchkins, any day of the week. And I've made an escape plan. mommaduck knows I'm bailing the second I want to. Just reminding myself.

Coming up Chez Serene:

New Year's Eve: Laid-back evening at home, to which all are welcome. Crash space available; BYOB.

Jan 7th: Craft night and White Elephant Swap. Bring anything you don't need from xmas or whatever; take away stuff you want. Any extras will be donated. We do *not* do the competitive game where you get to steal other people's stuff -- we just take turns picking stuff 'til all the stuff is gone or people don't want anything any more. For that reason, don't bother wrapping the White Elephants.

Jan 14th: Game night. We will have more seating and table space this time, enough that if folks want to, we can split up and play more than one game at a time (we have games for fewer people than showed last time, but we couldn't all play them together).

Thanks to wild_irises and mactavish and others, who reminded me where my home is.

I intend to be at craft night, and I'll bring stuff, including the thing I wrote to you about, which I want to be just for you and not included in the swap. If that would make you uncomfortable, I'll bring it another time.
