Here's the task:
1. If you have a Netflix queue or something similar, list the top five on
your queue.
2. Say something about each movie -- why you selected it, what you've
heard about it, what you thought of it if you have already seen it.
3. If you don't have a Netflix queue, you can use mine -- just click

Date: 2005-08-10 04:58 pm (UTC)I know the new Bob Dylan documentary is on there but I don't think it's even been released yet.
8 1/2 is on there because I've never seen it and I really liked La Strada.
I've got a few scoreland dvd's on there too because that's the closest thing I've found to my niche. heh.

Date: 2005-08-10 09:34 pm (UTC)1. May - I heard this was a bit of a cult film about a Goth girl who builds a friend for herself. I was curious about how retelling of the Frankenstein story would work.
2. House of Cards - A Kathleen Turner and Tommy Lee Jones movie about a mother trying to reach her autistic child. I love both actors and it is marginally about disability and altered consciousness of interests of mine.
3. Hero - Historical HK with Jet Li. Need I say more?
4. Before Sunset - A sequel to "Before Sunrise" with Julie Delpy (Oh my!) I thought the original was a fun romantic movie so I wanted to see the sequel.
5. Punch-Drunk Love - I keep hearing its a "good" Adam Sandler movie. I can't imagine what that would be like. So I rented it
