A friend came on Messenger this morning just to make sure that a post she made didn't hurt or insult me. It didn't -- it wasn't about me, and wasn't, as far as I could tell, insulting in any way -- but I really appreciate that my friends look out for me in that way. I'm lucky.

The thyroid tumor is now hurting sometimes when I breathe deeply. Monday, I need to go and get my records from Kaiser and get them over to my doctor so he can look at them. I'd hate to have the painful biopsy again, and maybe he can figure out what to do next from the old one. I really need a job with health benefits. And I need to look into what kinds of things I can do to treat my thyroid well. (The tumor is benign as far as I know -- Kaiser said so, but my doctor wants to be extra-sure.)

Gonna get my house clean today, and do not much else. Anyone who wants to come drink tea/coffee and watch me work is welcome, and I'll likely do frequent online breaks, as well.

Sorry to hear the tumor is making itself known. This is the kind of situation I'm afraid of, not having any insurance myself. I hope you discover all sorts of ways to pamper your thyroid.

Take good care of yourself and enjoy the day.

It must be scary... I have a similar benign-but-sore thing going on in my right breast, and I can never quite get over being suspicious of it. Do keep on top of watching it, and take very good care of yourself... I've lost one friend this year already to an "oh, it's nothing" tumor that turned out not to be. I really really really don't want to lose you, too....

Yes, let's not ever lose each other, shall we?

I know that they're using "benign" in a technical sense, but it seems to me that any medical condition that hurts when you do normal things like breathe deeply is a problem.

Yeah. This is new, too, so I'll get those records and then consult with the doc.

I'd completely missed the whole tumour thing :-( Good luck with it. As far as I know, seafood, brassicas and soy can be a little tough on the thyroid, food wise?

Ick. How scary and unpleasant. Wishing you good doctor luck.

Mr. E & I have cancelled all plans in order to stay home & veg & talk this weekend, which we very much need, but I hope you guys have a really good time.

Here's to some productive talking-and-vegging, which I'm enjoying today, as well. Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are having health problems. I have to take a tiny pink pill the rest of my life because I have Hypo thyroid but it doesn't cause me any pain I have enough other things that do that YUCK! I also have an appointment to see a dermatologist at the end of the month that is making me a bit scared. My regular doc referred me to him to check on a "suspicious" mole on my leg. The word biopsy was used. Hope all goes well with you and you don't have to have any more pain.

I'm glad to hear it's benign, but yeah, not good that it's hurting -- I hope you and the medical people can come up with some good ideas.

I really hate the health care system of our country.

I hope something useful can be done about the tumor.

I haven't done what I needed to do because I had a problem with my health coverage. It's not urgent, but I'll take care of it as soon as possible. Thanks for looking out for me. *smooch*
