good phone day

sereneNow, if you know me, you'll know I'm not overly fond of the phone. Today, however, was a good phone day. First, I heard from the boy genius, and then I got a call from ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
the_maenad, who is in town for the week. We're gonna get together in a day or two and hang out. I haven't seen her since Boston -- what year was that? 2002? -- and then there was some weirdness with her and the person she was seeing at the time, so we went without contact for a very long time. Anyway, I was glad to hear from her, and it'll be good to see her and catch up.
Keep trying to motivate myself to work. Not doing a stellar job, but I'm gonna give it one more try and then perhaps give up for the day.
