I am a fucking dork.

I was so excited that I got cheap tickets to San Diego.

Did I ignore the calendar or just flake? Anyway, we're not coming home until around 9pm on Friday, so I'm leaving my darling and talented dearheart, the lovely sogwife in charge of craft night. She's the real crafter in the family anyway, and if you stick around past 9:30, I'm sure I'll be up for crafting and schmoozing when I get home. Update on the Xmas-decorations front:

sogwife knew I hadn't been planning to decorate for Christmas. This is for a few reasons: I didn't particularly want to put out the effort; stonebender's place is sufficient; I have a couple of friends who actively dislike the whole Christmas thing; and I figured it would jangle at the Solstice party.

Anyway, she assumed I wouldn't want her to decorate our place, and this morning when she was jonesing to do so, I said "Sure! Go for it," surprising her. And then she did the sweetest thing -- she went out and bought *winter* themed stuff -- basically, blue lights and blue candle-holders, so the effect is going to be very pretty and not obnoxiously over-santa'd at all.

I have a really good sweetie.
