more joyful bundles
Dec. 22nd, 2005 01:29 pmMy brother just called. His wife is pregnant with child #9. They're
thrilled, and I'm thrilled for them. This will be my 14th nibling in 15
years. I am so totally off the babymaking hook (though my mom still bugs
me for kids).
(If you're tempted to express shock/dismay at my brother's happy news,
please keep it to yourself. They're good parents, and their kids are
happy, healthy, and well taken care of, and I don't want to hear any
negativity about this.)

Dec. 22nd, 2005 09:43 pmFeels odd to plug my blog in my LJ, but I'm finding that it's (the blog is, that is) the first thing in a while that's encouraging me to write every day. I'm working on an essay for today, but my newest one is called "Solstice and Winter and Sunlight, oh my!", and it's unpolished and very much in my casual voice, and I kinda like it.
