I tell ya, I've often said that Dan Savage would be a lot more fun to read if he'd throw away the fat-bashing and the whole bisexuality-doesn't-exist schtick.

Guess I might need to consider crossing at least one of those off my list. (First letter and response. -- I'm not commenting on the others at this time.)

Such a funny boy

So we're sitting around, eating dinner. Dinner is pesto ravioli (homemade pesto, so lots of garlic), more pesto on baguettes, and tomato salad with a garlicky balsamic vinaigrette.

I say, "No vampires will get us tonight."

He looks at me and says, completely deadpan, "You know, that whole vampires-are-repelled-by-garlic thing is a myth."

I thought I was going to pee my pants.
