In all the hullabaloo (including mom getting another biopsy today, oy!), I completely forgot that tomorrow is Burrito Project Day. I didn't shop or anything. If you were planning on coming and helping, please forgive me. I'll reschedule as soon as possible.

I do know it's crazy, but I get a day like today, where my only obligation is to myself, and I can just putter around my house, making pancakes and doing laundry and stuff, and I find my center again. I have such a good life. I get in this total zone where everything is beautiful.

Silly example: I was filling the pitcher to add the rinse water to my laundry tub, and I was just overcome by how lucky I am that I can afford to just run gallons of water out of a tap in my kitchen -- hell, I could even just pour a gallon down the drain if I want, not that I want to -- and there are so many people in the world for whom just a cup of clean water, clean enough to drink, would feel like a miracle.

So obviously, I have a teenager now. She's a great kid, and very helpful around the house. (The other day, she woke up and did the dishes before starting her game, without being asked, so she wouldn't have to worry about chores while she played. Stuff like that.)

Anyway, she's looking for paid work. As soon as we get her ID sorted out, she's going to put in applications at the local businesses that are appropriate, but she'd also be happy to help out any of you who need her to do stuff.
