Ginger People ginger spread

If you're into ginger, you really must try this stuff. We picked up a jar at the Berkeley Bowl, and I've been eating it on toast, but I have tons of ideas for other things to do with it, too. Yumma.

Thanks! I would probably love it. How does it differ from ginger marmalade, other than being pureed to remove the chunks?

Well, for one, I can't get ginger marmalade around here. The last time I had that was when an Australian friend brought me some. But the texture isn't exactly a puree. It's hard to describe. It's not super-smooth. Almost grainy, but not in an objectionable way.

Ooooh. That sounds very like the candied ginger puree I used to be able to get at Trader Joe's but have been unable to find for more than a year. On the payday shopping list!

I'm sorry. Ever since I learned about figging, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figging) I haven't been able to look at ginger the same way.
